This chapter opens with a soliloquy by the captain of the airship. He tells the captain that he doesn't want him to leave, but that he knows that the captain didn't mean to hurt him. He asks the captain to take a good look at himself and the people around him. The captain says that he wants to see how miserable the woman will be if she had not tried to kill him. If she had, the captain says, he would have been killed by the fire wolf. He says that if the woman hadn't done this, he wouldn't be in the situation he is in. He wants to know how many other people have been hurt by the woman, and how vicious she really is. He calls her a "slap woman" and asks her to take him out. He accuses her of slapping him and asks if she ever thought that she would end up like the woman she is. She says that she almost forgot to tell him that the man she is with is seriously wounded. She asks if the captain is jealous of her because he has a man like fire wolf who is willing to protect him. She tells him that she is more like a man than a man, and that he must have been sucking up to her to get her to do what he wanted.
