The scene opens with Cai Ming and his brother, Cai Ming-Ling, in the middle of the street. Cai Ming asks his brother-in-law if he can go with him to watch the world premiere of the new year movie the next day. He tells his brother that he has an appointment with Cai Xiangxiang, and he asks him to come with him. The two men discuss the fact that they are going to make dumplings together, and Cai Ming says that he feels like his wife has come back, and that she is not so annoying as before. He also says that the rumor about her death was true, and the movie was shown at midnight because of it. He thinks that the film crew spread the rumor that she had died in the prison because of the uncleanness of her body. He wonders if the movie is so popular because of this rumor. He then wonders if someone outside has put a banner on the street forbidding the shooting of the movie. He says that it is not that big of a deal, since the actress who plays the supporting role in the movie has already been replaced by someone else. He goes inside to check on the situation. He sees that someone has put up a banner outside the theater to forbid the movie's shooting. He asks why he is crying, and she explains that she received an offer letter from a hogwarts and was released from prison.
