The Governess tells the Governess that she has sprained her ankle and that she should go to the doctor immediately. She also tells her that she is sorry that she suspected her of being a prostitute. She tells her to go buy food and to have a chat with her friends. She then tells her friend that she wants to see Captain Donnithorne. He is waiting for her at the train station. He asks her if she is serious about going back to work as a model. She says that her father has had a serious accident and that her brother has to pay for the medical expenses. She asks him if he is short of money and he says that he is. She goes on to say that she was wearing revealing clothes to take pictures for her brother and she is worried that she will not be able to wear revealing clothes again
