The scene opens with Mingke and Mingke's maid, Miss Jessel, arriving at the club. Mingke tells Jessel that he has come to see her because she has told him that she is going to tear Mingke apart. He tells her that he will take her out on a boat trip and that she should pick a boat that she likes as he is free to do so. She tells him that he is not allowed to go out on the boat, but he agrees to go with her. She asks him if he has gotten hurt, and he replies that he did not. He says that he was adopted by his father, and that he does not want to remind her of this. He asks her if she wants to go on a yacht trip, and she says that she will go with him. She says that there is no food on board, so they should get some food before they board the boat. She adds that she wants something to cook, and asks if he would like to go along with her on the trip. He agrees, saying that he would do so if he were to accompany her. He then asks if she has to take a bag with her, but she says no, she will just accompany him. They talk about the fact that they are expected to go overboard on weekends while Mingke hangs out with his girlfriend, and the president of the club is offering Mingke the chance to go and have fun. He invites Mingke to pick a yacht and go to the club to pick some girls, and then Mingke will go and join them. He notices that Mingke seems to have changed a little, but Mingke says that this is not appropriate, since he is hugging his woman. He also asks if they are together, and they say that they do, but that he looks a little different. He adds that he also wants to join Mingke on the yacht trip.
