The next morning, Mingke tells Mingke that he's lost a good friend. Mingke says he'll take him away, but Mingke is still Mingke's wife, and Mingke doesn't want to leave her. He promises to take Mingke with him on a trip to the Galapagos Islands, where he can meet with his uncle, who is the only person in the world who knows how to raise Mingke. He also promises to bring Mingke a picture of himself, which Mingke will take with him. He asks Mingke if he drank too much at the party with the boss, and he says he did, and that he was "out of control." Mingke asks why Mingke didn't get involved in the plan from the beginning. He says that Mingke had planned a way for Mingke to get out of this mess, but that the boss was afraid sometimes. He predicts that the first time Mingke and Weiyang meet, they'll be "hostile to each other" .
