About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the protagonist's father is upset that his son has not given him the "all-my-biggest" he was expecting. He is also upset that he has not been able to attend the Triumvirate, because he is afraid that his mother will laugh at him for not giving her the "big one." The protagonist thanks his father for the invitation to the festival, but he is not sure how many people he has invited. When the protagonist introduces himself as "the designer of figure," he explains that his concept is "Don't Believe in God" and that people can do whatever they want with their lives. The protagonist then shows the protagonist around his new booth, which is decorated in red. He asks the protagonist if he can take notes about the tactics of the other artists, and the protagonist says that he is curious about what tactics everyone is using. When he sees that the figures are all wearing red, he realizes that the figure is trying to draw attention to himself by wearing a red outfit. He also notices that the booth is set up in a way that makes it look as if the figure has a visual identity. When asked about the sales of the figures, the protagonist tells us that he does not know if the protagonist will remain bitter because he did not get the "seal of approval" from his father, but that he will probably grow if he is left alone.
