He wants to go back to his office to watch the tournament, and he wants to make sure that Hiroshi moves the pawns correctly so that he can beat his opponent. He thinks it's a good idea to do this, because it means Hiroshi will be able to catch up with Hiroshi's opponent, who is two or three years older than him.
