In this chapter, the girls discuss the recent departure of sempai, who has quit his job as a patternmaker. When the girls ask him why he has quit, he tells them that he has been working as a mover for a while and that he does not have the money to become a designer. He asks the girls to persuade her mother to give up her dream of becoming a designer and to pay for her medical expenses. The girls decide to go to the festival to raise money for their mother's medical bills. The manager of the festival, Yulgarashi, tells the girls that he will be happy to help them if they have enough money to do so. He also tells them to contact him if they need any further information about the festival.
