In this chapter, we learn that the audience for a fashion show is made up primarily of young girls who love fashion and are into trends. If the opening model is not good enough, the show will fail. This is especially true if she is the only model in the show. In order to win over the audience, a model needs to be good enough to overcome the other models' popularity and aura. In this way, the model can "halo overcome the hurdle" that is the "other models popularity" and "aura" . In other words, she needs to "win over more spectators" with her presence in the fashion show. We learn that in order to be a model, you need to be at least three years older than the other students in the school. So if you're a third-year student in high school, you should be able to walk in a show at the age of twenty-three. We also learn that this is the first time that the two of them have ever been able to go to a show together, and they're both excited about it. They're also excited about the fact that they've both been recognized as "models" by the audience. We're not sure what else to say, but it's clear that they love each other.
