The girl is nervous because she's planning to go to Paris during the summer break. The two men talk about how they're both going to try something new at work, and the young man asks the girl if she prefers to make clothes or design them. She says she'd rather make clothes, but she doesn't have a lot of money. She'll have to start pre-paring her wardrobe by August, so she'll need to find a job before then. She tells the boy that she has been with her mom for a long time, and that she likes to cook. The boy asks her if she likes making clothes or designing them, and she says she does. He tells him that some people think that a good designer is more important to a company than a good pattern maker, but that's because the pattern maker spends so much time making clothes. She wants to be a designer who makes clothes that will bring smiles to people's faces, and so she decides to open a studio in the middle of nowhere.
