In this chapter, we learn that ikuto is going to be a part of the company, and that he's going to have to learn how to make patterns. He's got a lot to learn, he tells us, and he has a lot of competition in the world of pattern making. He tells us that he has been making patterns for six months, and it took him two and a half months to get the job. Now, he says, he'll finish his pattern faster than hanaoka, because they've been talking about how they're rivals. . They can't even get the shape of a penguin sleeve without using a bunch of stitches, so they need to figure out a way to make it look like a penguin. They decide that they'll have someone else make the pattern, and then they can do whatever they want with it.
