The chapter opens with a conversation between Itakura and Hayami. Itakura tells Hayami that he is busy with the preparations for the company's farewell party. Hayami, however, has taken over the tasks for him. The conversation turns to the upcoming exhibition, which Hayami plans to organize. He asks Hayami if she wants him to show the brands participating in the exhibition every week. She asks him if he thinks it would be a good idea if everyone ditched the party. He replies that he will not say anything since he is not hearing anything. He says that he has raised Hayami for his love for the boss, and that he hopes Hayami will succeed in his work. Hayam asks if he said that Toh will be successful if he does not marry Aphro, and he replies that the conflict between his grand mother's desires and Toh's ambitions is why he fired the boy. He also says that the future Toh envisions does not mesh with the present. He tells Hayam that he went to see the capsule collection of the company, which was very exciting. He feels that he may end up hating Hayami because he loves her so much.
