Back at the beginning of this chapter, we find ourselves back in time to the end of the "geika festival" . We're back in the present, where we're told that the judges gave Yulan a "better rating" than he deserved. He's bummed out that he's no longer in the running for the "best model" prize at the festival. He also feels bad about not being able to pursue his dream of becoming a famous fashion designer.
