The next morning, Hirokazu asks if he's done with his first three designs. He's finished with the first two, but he'd like to know if they're ready for production. He uses sewing threads to cut down on the cost of fabric, and he uses thinner raglan sleeves to make garments that are more comfortable to wear. He doesn't like the third one, though, because it's too soft and fluffy. He decides to go with whatever he thinks is the best, and the next collection will be for the spring and summer season. He wants to prove that he can make clothes that are better than the ones made by the men at the factory, and if he can do that, he wants to be a designer. He tells the others that he needs to learn how to make clothes, and they all agree that he'll need to learn more. Hirokaz asks if the new guy will pick the one that's better than his own, and she says that he will. She also tells him that he was hired because he wanted to beat the "main brand" . She's not sure if this is the case, but she's sure it is.
