About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn more about the relationship between Tomura and Mina. Mina asks Tomura if he is in love with another woman, and Tomura replies that Mina is too young to be attracted to a mature woman like her. Mina tells Tomura that she wants him to make her a pair of black shoes so that she can wear them in the show. Tomura says that he will only use one pair of shoes, and Mina tells him that the other pair was made in time for the show, and that Mina worked very hard on making it. Mina says that the designer, who she calls hajime, will have to wear her shoes in his debut show, because she promised him that she would make him a pair. Mina explains that the business of making shoes was a promise that got her into trouble, but that it is not like the designer does not care about his success. Mina then asks to know how everything is going with the team, and how they are handling soft fabrics. She says that she needs to get her first version of the jacket done, too, so that Mina can enter the sample-production phase.
