In this chapter, Falco explains that the ship needs a full day's maintenance to prepare for the flying boat's arrival. He says that if they waited half a day, it would take four days for the enemy to destroy the entire continent. Falco says that he will get the rest of the crew to defend the ship, and then he will join in the fight. He thinks that the enemy has captured a marleyan, and that they are using the ship to chase the enemy and sink their flying boat. He wonders why they don't use the ship as a chaser and sink the ship.
