Attack on Titan

In this chapter, we learn that eren has been living on the island for the last 100 years. He's always been friendly with the people of the island, but now he's worried that they're starting to think that he doesn't know what's going on. He tells us that he was the first person from the island to step foot on the other side of the wall, and now he wants to know what the other people think of him. He asks the kids if they've been playing "gangster" games, and they tell him that they have. They're all playing ice cream, and eren tells them that the ice cream is not his coin purse, but that it belongs to his sister's purse. He says that the purse belongs to the older sister, and that if they don't punish him, he'll start to stop stealing. Geez, that's a little harsh, but it's not going to stop him from stealing from his older sister. He also tells the kids that they can't be friends with the paradis if they abandon the peace path, because they'll be in danger of losing their fates to the island's enemies. . He reminds them that they were once Eldians, but they were forced to become refugees by the empire. They were never once Eldeans, he says, and the only thing they have in common with the eldians is that they are "devils" forced to interbreed. The only thing that terrifies eren is the fact that the people who fled the island 100 years before are the ones he abhors. He
