This chapter's epigraph comes from a conversation between a soldier and a woman. The soldier tells the woman that he believes that the hundred forster who have fled the prison are all loyal to eren, and that the soldiers believe that eren is protecting them. The woman tells the soldier that she was the daughter of a soldier who was killed by eren. She asks the soldier to show her the wounds he has inflicted on her father.
