About This Chapter
Still, they can't just let their guard down. They've got to get ready to respond to whatever comes their way. They don't really know what's going on, but they're confident that they'll be able to fend off the attack. They just have to be ready to react to whatever's thrown at them. The three kids who ran away with you are now on the front lines, too, and they've all got advanced combat skills. They need to get fully outfitted and ready to fight right away. They were all ordered not to say anything, so they swear an oath not to tell anyone about what happened to mikasa. They didn't want to tell anybody, but now they have to do it because they were ordered to not tell anyone. It's just like a corpse does, says the kid. He's not sure if they can figure out a way to get out of this. He wants to go to his dad's basement room and explain everything to him. He doesn't know where he'll go, but he's sure that his mom would've seen them moving in on the other side of the wall. He knows that his dad told him he would understand everything if he went to the basement room, and that's the last thing he wants to do. He thinks that if he could use the Titan's power to counter the attack, he could convince the other guys not to resist. He swears that if they claim that the guy isn't a titan, they must be out of their minds.
