In this chapter, we learn that Maria represents one-third of the land that humanity left five years ago. Five years have passed, and humanity has lost a lot of land. Now it's up to the new titans to take back the land. Some people are filled with hope, and some are angry, but they all scream when they hear that the wall is being taken back. They wonder if there's a place for humanity to live in, and if they can ever believe that the new creatures can control their own destiny. They also wonder if they'll ever be able to believe that these new creatures have the power to make their own decisions, and that they can control the fates of their fellow human beings
