In this chapter, we learn that five years before, the humans built a giant wall around the city of Corioles to keep out the giant monsters. Five years later, however, the wall came crashing down, and the humans were forced to flee the city. The three of them try to get out, but they're all crushed by the wall's rubble. They don't know if they'll be able to make it out alive, so they all run off together.
