The next morning, Asuncion wakes up in the middle of the night. He's tired and wants to go to sleep, but he can't bring himself to do so because he's in the future, which means that he'll have to wake up in 2023. He asks his grandfather if he can see him one last time before he dies. His grandfather tells him that they're going to die soon, so they'll be gone for a long, long time. Asuna says that she wishes she could see him, because he looks so much younger than he actually is.
