In this chapter, we are introduced to the protagonist of the novel "Magister Negi" . He is a young man who has just returned from a class trip with his friends. He has been waiting for the opportunity to kiss one of the girls in the group, but he is unable to do so because he looks like a loser. He wonders why the girl would want to kiss him when he is so attractive. He also wonders if the girl is attracted to him because he is the same height as the girl in question, and he wonders if he would be attracted to her because she is taller than him. He then wonders if this is a trap set by the journalist "Kazumi" , and wonders if all men look mature when they are about to kiss a woman. The protagonist then asks the girl where she is going, and the girl tells him to go on to the third floor, where she will catch thanks from one of her friends. She then asks him if he has heard what she said after noon, and when he says that he does not, she tells him that she is sure that he is referring to the fact that he has won the prize money.
