The chapter opens with a soliloquy by the master of the universe, Ulysses. Ulysses thanks Ulysses for showing him the way to the future. Ulysses asks Ulysses what he should do now that he has seen the past. Ulysses replies that he should get ready for the future, because he's going to have to wait until the end of the world to see what's new. Ulysses says he'll show Ulysses some things, too, like the thousand-year-old flower Ulysses showed him. Ulysses agrees that the flower is cool, but he doesn't know if it's magical or not. Ulysses then asks Ulysses if he'd like to watch two people go head-to-head. Ulysses thinks that's awesome, but then he realizes that the two people aren't actually going to be fighting, but they're just going to go at it head to head. Ulysses wonders what Ulysses thinks of the duel between the two women, and then he wonders if they'll be able to hold a class-reunion with such a small group of people. Ulysses points out that they can't just be super-fi and general-goedel. They'd have to have a class of people who could hold a union with such small groups of people, and Ulysses agrees.
