The magi are surprised that the treasure-hunter knows how to use magic. They are about to begin their counter attack when they hear the sound of the tapping of the magic wand, and they wonder if there is a way to escape the situation. They move to the book store, where they find that the saka has failed them. The two of them continue their conversation, and nodokamiyazaki exclaims that he can snap the girl's head with his wrist. They realize that they are now forbidden to kill, but that they can send her soul into the eternal garden. They decide to meet again, as they did when they fought 20 years earlier. The chief says that he cannot bear to see what has happened to the innocent citizens of the city. He wonders if they are forbidden to attack them indiscriminately, but the chief says they must take their leave of the town before that happens.
