In the ninth period of the novel, Nemo and Asuna are still stranded on the secret island of Baka. They have to call someone to help them escape, but they are confident that they will be able to make it out before long. They apologize for not having the magic book, but Nemo insists that they do not need it. He tells Asuna that he will use magic the next morning to get them back to the mainland. He also tells her that he has found one more book, which he plans to use the next day to get back to Baka safely.
