In the 66th period of the novel, the monster who attacked Nemo is revealed to be none other than Nemo's father. The monster, who is also known as chizu, is so enraged that he stomps on the child's head. The child cries out, "I'm sorry, I was too late" , and the monster curses his father for being too heavy for him. He also curses the "weird mon sters" for making it their business to attack Nemo. He tells the child that he will see his father again, and he promises to make sure that the child gets to see him.
