This chapter's epigraph is from the play's opening scene, in which Hiroyuki and Natsumi talk about the "magi fruit" of their love. Hiroyuki is fidgety because of the little fabric that covers his clothes, and he wonders how his life will change in the coming years. He tells his friend that he has told him to stop fidgeting, because it's "becoming ness" . He also tells him that they were on a date with the prime minister of Japan, and that he forgot to tell Hiroyuki that he was going to meet the pre-paree to be amazed. He says that he's going to ask Hiroyuki to help him with his "personal favor" , which means that he wants to ask him to do something for the sake of his friend's sensei . The class rep says that Hiroyuki has no regrets in life, because he came to the age of fifteen and has "no regrets" left in the world. He adds that he doesn't need to go "that far," because he'll be able to do whatever he wants with his life. He asks the class rep to "stimulate" him with a soft squeeze, and the rep agrees to do so. The scene ends with Hiroyuki thanking his friend for teaching him so much about life.
