Back at the hotel, the girls are getting ready to leave for the competition. They're worried about what's going to happen to Negi, who's in such a bad mood. One of the girls runs off with one of the other girls, and the girls don't think it's fair that she'd run off with a guy they're supposed to be training with. The girls decide to stay and watch over Negi in case he needs anything, but they can't bring themselves to drag him back to the competition because the place is so crowded that he won't be able to sleep in a private room.
