In this chapter, the monster explains how he manipulates gravity. He explains that all objects are attracted to one another because they have the same gravitational pull. If an object is too small, it will be pulled to the ground. If it is too large, it can be moved to the sky. He says that he would have been a better guardian for the monster if he had been guarding him. But now, he says, he is a "pitiful lost soul" who betrayed his mission as a pillar and betrayed his guardian. The monster says that the "prelude to the great catastrophe" is about to occur.
