Three months have passed since the mysterious pillars appeared over the ocean, and people have been buying up all of the stuff they can find in the stores. The narrator tells us that shinra kun has been in a "state of confusion" and that he's had a weird dream during his time away from home. He's not sure what to call it, but he thinks it's related to the fact that he has "multiple personalities" . He also says that he just saw a "gryphon" nest up in the ocean and that everything is the same as it was before the "Great Catastrophe." The narrator compares the past to the present, and says that everything was different before the Great Catastrophe. He compares the present to the past, but says that the past was "beyond anything" he'd ever thought possible. He says that when the great catastrophe happened, all the language was changed. Now, he says, there are five things that have happened to him since he passed out three months ago. He has tattoos on his ankle, which he says are reminders of the day he killed his mother. He wonders if he is the "Adolla version" of him.
