As the battle rages on, the captain tells his men that he's already made plans to protect himself and his men from harm. He tells them that he has already warned them of his intentions, and that they should be aware of their hatred for him. He also tells them to be on the lookout for the company's new chief of staff, who he thinks is a "scarecrow good" man. The captain tells the men to go get the chief, who has "zero charisma" . He says that the younger men at the company all say that if they follow him, they can do whatever they want. He warns them to stop the battle and kill the giant.
