The captain of the special fire force, Lieutenant Onyango, reports that the cathedral has seen an increase in the number of infernals. He tells the captain that he will have to prepare for anything that may come his way. The captain says that he has already retired from the fire service once before, and that if he had taken the job, it would have been him again before long. He says that they must stand firm against the white-clad cult that terrorizes the empire. He adds that they may have lost Captain Burns, but they must not change their faith in God and their people. They must give everything they have for their god and for their people, he says. He urges the citizens to follow him and the rest of the company to the cathedral. He asks them to follow three people who have gone into the cathedral and are talking. They are the talking type. They havent seen such a thing sincemiyamoto. They say that they will put the three people to rest. They tell the captain not to get too excited and not to kill him. He knows that they have to free the people from the flames, but who knows words could shake his resolve. He promises to take care of the situation. He warns the captain to cool his head and not rush off in a hurry.
