The captain of the fire brigade, shinra, and the captain of company seven, pop, come to see what's been going on. They've heard about the captain red tape from the empire, and they're here to find out what the heck's going down. They don't believe everything they hear, though, because they've seen people turn into "infernals" . The captain says that he's the toughest soldier in the company, and that the empire had to recognize his town's special fire brigade as a part of its special forces. He also says that the captain just invited him to a drink with him, and he doesn't want to see the captain when he gets back, so he invites shinra to go along with him. He tells the captain that he jinxed the company when he said he'd better not see them when he got back, but the captain invites him to go with him anyway, and shinra says he'll make sure he sees the captain's side of the story.
