The chapter opens with a soliloquy by Hiroshi. He tells us that he has just completed his "intense training" and that he is ready to "crush company" . He says that he had trained day and night to resist the "brazen woman" , but that he met an unforeseen obstacle in the form of a "terrifying amount of shamelessness" that made it impossible for him to defeat her. He is now ready to face the "new training mission" that Hiroshi has set off on. He asks if he has learned anything from the paper and notes that he was a fool to think he had "learned anything from recorded real life." He then asks if his breasts have gotten bigger since the last time he met her, and she replies that she has refused to talk to him. He then tells her that there is something special about him that makes him stand out from the crowd, and that this is why he is able to talk with a woman. He adds that he does not know why he should be defeated, because he is no ordinary man. He also says that it is not the same as dealing with an amateur. He explains that after his third defeat, he found a place where certain things were likely to happen, and he waited for them. He waited for the "bloody fire blast" and the "whoosh" of an assault. He concludes that he will never defeat the woman he loves.
