About This Chapter
Back at the work shop, Sir Walter Blunt wonders what's going on. He's got a message for Arthur: there's nothing he can do about it. Sir Walter says he's a knight, but he doesn't really have the power to do anything about it right now. He thinks he'll just have to use his sword to do some damage. He asks Silver if he can help him. Silver says he can't, because Arthur's been given a specific mission: to defend the queen and her servants inside the watermill. Silver is confused, because he thinks Arthur is using his sword for a horse-mover's game. He also thinks that Silver is being a fool to think that he can defeat the knight king. Silver thinks he can use this to his advantage, too. He tells Silver to stay away from Arthur, because the king has given him a specific task: to protect the queen inside the mill. Silver's not fooled. He knows that Arthur is a good fighter, and he knows that the two of them will be able to do the job they're assigned to do.
