This is a locked chapterCHAPTER 134: THE TRUTH OF THE SANDBOX
About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the company's power development facility is being used as a hiding place for their research. It's been a while since they've been there, but they're still keeping a close watch on it. The head of the combustion science lab, Littimer, is there, too, and Littimer tells us that he's heard rumors about a man named Kyuono, who's said to be one of the fiercest pyrokinetics in the company. Littimer is excited to be able to witness this "shady facility" . He's also excited to meet the man himself, since he has been helping the team for the past few months. He tells Littimer that he wrote the "idiotic report on purpose" , which Littimer says he couldn't have written because he was risking his life for the sake of the team. He wants Littimer to tell the story of how the rekka was captured, and he'd like Littimer's help. He also wants to see if Littimer can help him find the man. He thanks Littimer for allowing them to observe the explosion, and says it makes him feel like a "lab rat" for the first time in a long time. He hopes that the experiment will make him feel better, so that he won't be so "depressed" that he can't do anything. He wishes that he could have been a kid again, so he could "groom" him when he was younger. He says he'll knock the man into the next week.
