He says that his body is out of oxygen, and that he can feel his life burning away. He can't stay conscious, he says, because his life is in danger. He tells the lieutenant that he has nothing left to live for, and if he does nothing, he won't be able to get out of Asakusa alive. He asks the lieutenant what he can do, and the lieutenant answers that there's no special thing about the flames that makes them different from other pyrokinetics.
