About This Chapter
In the meantime, Arthur and the others are trying to figure out what's going on at the fire. Arthur has cut a hole through the ceiling, and they're going to have to go through it to get out. They're not sure if they'll be able to make it through the top of the ceiling or not. Arthur says he'll try to save everyone, but he doesn't want to hurt anyone. He asks the joker if he can grab the cat and the dog without dropping them. The joker says he can't, because he's got to save Captain Burns. Arthur asks if the fire is scary, and the joker says it isn't. He says it's better to have no injuries than to have everyone hurt. Arthur thanks the joker for taking care of his tamaki, and he thanks the other heroes for saving his life. He tells the joker that the captain of the fire was a good guy, too, and that he'd seen a suspicious man there the day before. The man had some strange powder, which he used to control explosions. The powder reminded him of the one that killed him in the fire, and it reminded him that he promised his mom that he would be a special fire soldier. The truth is, the special fire fighters aren't all that different from the ordinary heroes.
