This chapter opens with a conversation between Onyango and Hiroyuki. Hiroyuki says that the battle is still going on, and that company 8 is still scattered. He asks if company 8 has been doing well, and Onyano says that it looks like they're not going to be able to stay in the front for long. He tells Hiroyuki to keep the conversation to himself, and says that he's sorry that he had to leave company 8 after what happened with Rekka. He then asks if he can get shinra kun to get involved in the battle, and onyango says that's a good idea, since he doesn't want company 8 to be left behind. He also says that Hiroyuki needs to keep his mind off of the battle and concentrate on getting revenge on the other soldiers who killed him. Onyuki asks if captain burns knows something, and Hiroyano replies that he does, but that he hasn't seen anything that would indicate that he knows something. He's not sure if it's the attack from Fjoker or something else, but he does know that he feels like something is finally happening. He feels like someone else is using an "adolla burst" to attack him, and he thinks that it must be the other way around. He thinks that the other guy must have had to do something time to do it, because the theory of physics says that a normal person is always moving at the same speed as an object that moves at a slower speed.
