The next morning, the captain wakes up and tells the lieutenant that he's ready to go to battle. The lieutenant tells the captain that he needs to get his mind off of his body and focus on his spiritual awakening. The captain asks the lieutenant how to do the adolla link, and the lieutenant tells him to stretch out his limbs and "melt into the earth" . He asks the captain how to get to the third eye, which is supposed to wake him up when he opens the sixth gateway, the one between his eyebrows. The third eye will take him to the "throne of the gods" , the lieutenant says, but he doesn't believe that God exists. He says he can awaken his third eye by opening the seventh gateway and connecting to the higher plane. He then says he should feel the earth, focus his mind, and "become one" with the earth. He laughs at the captain's comment that he just took the opportunity to get a nice nap, but the captain points out that other people think of him as a god who "destroyed asakusa" and that they believe in him too. He adds that the enemy is going to attack soon, and they need to rally their troops before the enemy does.
