The narrator tells us that he's going to borrow a little more money from the guys. He wants to buy some more weapons so that he can fight off the Mechaniks. He's also going to give them some money so that they can make more weapons. The narrator doesn't want to give away too much of his secret, but he does want to make sure that the guys have enough money to buy him some new weapons.
