In this chapter, Pan tells Asakusa that he wants him to take care of himself at all times. Pan tells him that he doesn't think Captain Hague did it to himself, but that someone else managed to take him down without giving him the opportunity to fight back. Pan says that he's not sure who did it, but he thinks it must have been someone else. He tells Pan that the training is going well, and that they'll be able to summon the feeling they need on the first day of duty. He says that they should assign him a security detail so that they can show the world that they won't give in to anything like this.
