About This Chapter
Captain hiraoka tells Mimaki that she's leaving the army and going back to protect people. Mimaki is bummed, but Mimaki assures her that the military is a good place to be, especially if you're a girl. She's also worried that the white hoods in the castle are getting more and more radical, and Mimaki worries that the lieutenant will think that Mimaki's still green. She also wonders why Mimaki had to go back so soon after getting her orders, since the general's daughter, Mimaki, is supposed to be doing the same thing. Captain Hirokazu says Mimaki should sit down and have a cup of tea with the lieutenant general, since Mimaki isn't strong enough to do the job. She says she'd like Mimaki to come back, too, since she thinks Mimaki and the other girls are the best of all possible candidates to be in the secretariocracy. She adds that she likes the fact that everyone treats her like a princess, which is why she seems to be so smart and lovable. The lieutenant general says he's relieved to have Mimaki back, since it was her company's plan that she would protect people in the future, and that she shouldn't be throwing herself into dangerous battles. He also says that he'll talk to Mimaki whenever she has time, since he doesn't want her to try to do too much at her training, which she should be able to do. He's not supposed to push himself too hard, he says, and he thinks that sheltered girls also have their problems, too.
