In this chapter, Tommo continues to torment Hayao. He tells him to stop acting like Hayao's brother. He says that he's going to find the time when they were brothers, and he won't let it go until he gets the "real" Hayao back. He's not going to let him go, he says, until he sees the smile on his brother's face. It's the same smile he saw when his family was killed in the fire. He doesn't know how he'd feel if he ever got to meet Hayao again, but he promises that they'll be "super heroes" and "protect you and sho" . He swears that he will burn Hayao to ashes if he finds out that he was the one who started the fire, and that he killed the "devil" in order to win his mom and baby brother. Hayao says he'll find out what's up, and then he promises to "burn him to ashes" if he can't find out the truth.
