In this chapter, we learn that the three of them are "an un-breakable family cat" , and that they have made a plan to escape if something like this happens to them. When the three sisters are alone together, they are interrupted by the sound of a gunshot. They are both shocked to discover that the knight is still on his way and that the family has lost control of the situation.
