This chapter opens with a flashback to the early days of the Golden Age, when Yueru was a child. She tells Yueru that he is now a young man, and that he must prepare himself for the future. Yueru tells him that he can use the fire pill to improve his strength, to buy hearts from alchemists, to create his own families, and to sell for favors. He tells her that he does not want cultivating power anymore, because he is tired of fighting for power again. He asks her to give him the seventh-grade shen-yuan pill, which can grant him favor from the nascent soul master.
