Mr. xia asks his son-in-law to take him back to the port. He wants to know where his base is so that he can find his sister. He tells lin that he is loyal to his boss, and that he fought him off when he was on his way to her sister. lin tells xia that his life is in his hands and that if he devotes himself to helping him, he might teach her how to live an immortal life. xin tells him that they have never met him and that their boss wouldn't do anything immoral if he wanted to kidnap a girl, but if he did, he would do it anyway. If lin is really in the hands of the xia's, xin says, he'll make yanjing disappear in the tianjin. He thanks xia for taking time off of his busy schedule to celebrate his birthday, and asks if there is any news from lin'er yet. He says that bin'er has brought the corpse of the shadow guard to the leader, and there is a rumor that lin was supposed to be killed last night, but he hasn't yet come back. He asks xia to come and find out who gave lin the bravery he showed at the banquet, and who gave him the courage to beat xin and drive yong crazy. He kneels down and confesses his sins to xin.
