In this chapter, the young man is introduced to his new master, who is named Ming-ting. He is a student of the martial arts, and he admires Ming's fighting skills. Ming asks Ming to teach him the art of "feet of fury" , and Ming replies that he does not know what is happening, but that it is nice to have someone subordinate to him. Ming tells Ming not to call him master, as he was asked to do by the other students. Ming slaps Ming and tells him that he should have known Ming was a "sick bastard" on top of his dirt-poor appearance. Ming apologizes, saying that he had no part in anything, but Ming goes back to Ming to tell him not to beat around the bush and face him like a man. Ming says that he will practice the art by himself.
