In this short scene, Dr. Manette tells the audience that she has sent him a gift from Wukong: a strand of his hair. He is amazed at the amount of hair that can be created by using this hair to create "clones" of himself and others. He also tells us that the necklace that keeps him away from his master is called the "wood sword necklace" . He wonders why he is not able to communicate with him. He then asks if he can see him and talk to him. If he does not, he will castrate him and cut him into "a million pieces". He also asks where he got the sword, and if he would be able to sell it to a woman. He asks if she would buy it, and then asks where she found all the other stuffs. He says that he can do this after that he is telling the truth.
